A smart introvert goes into a biker bar and gets wasted on two strong girly drinks. The bar is owned by a huge, crude, lewd, ripped dude with a foul mouth and a lot of baggage. We know from the title that these will eventually "have" to be together because they are mates. The animal part of shifters is blamed often in this book for mating and for lack of control. Other than that, there isn't much that makes this a paranormal book. It does have more plot than many paranormal romance books this short with time before the characters have sex. There seemed to be pieces missing that I just wanted to know. Is Trace, the bar owner, rippling with muscles because he's a polar and if not where is he finding the time for the other activity that keeps him so fit when he's putting in long hours running his place?If you like your alpha males bossy with possessive tendencies, you'll like some of Trace's more creative, "I am the only one who will ever touch you," lines. If you like your males romantic and sweet, this book is not for you. Trace is crude and Candace has to decide if she wants to be with this crude biker dude who is NOT going to change into a sweet gentle soul who watches his language around her.
The book is well written with just a few missed editing places. Worth the reasonable price. I'd give it 4 1/2 stars if I could.

Fell in love with Trace and Candace story! It was sexy, raw, and passionate. I hope Liam has his own story. Will recommend this to my friends! Every woman needs a "Trace" in their lives.
Even when your scared 😨 second chances are so worth the wait the great book biker bear love those big biker bears
Right off the bat we are thrust into Trace Dakota's life, who is giving new meaning to "wham-bam-thank-ya-m'am". I liked the dirty talking/rough and tough polar bear up to a certain point. It seemed to add the story because it was showcasing the character development of Trace... but about 80% of the way through (the stripper scene) the editing just soars right into the literary toilet. Words were misplaced, names (like Jack White) were written in as "Jack Black", and sentences were constructed as if by a seventh grader (going on and on, jumbled, and awkward). There was a lot of repeating- Trace is getting hard, Trace wants to have sex with Candace, etc... It becomes much like beating a dead horse after awhile.
I also have this thing when shapeshifter books are written about shapeshifters who do not SHIFT into their animal forms. It kind of drives me crazy. Isn't that what shapeshifters do? I can totally get on board with their animal instincts and such but it seems kind of... I don't know, like false advertisement?
Jenika Snow had everything going for her up until that last 80% when all use for the English language was throw out the window.
So, if you can lock your inner grammar Nazi away and navigate through messy writing, have at it. I wanted to enjoy it but couldn't get past the bad writing. Totally ruined the reading experience.
This is a book in the spinoff series and I have to say wow! I still love the Wlyde Bears series better but this one will leaving you wanting more. We meet some of the same characters from the other books that become the focus of this storyline. We see polar bear Trace and wolf Candace meet. And let me tell you that it is explosive! You will not be disappointed!
I absolutely love this series. I hope this author keeps this series going.
I thought this book was really sweet paranormal romance. It's straight to the point with a few twists and turns that are expected. Even though you knew what was coming, you still wanted to cheer for the main characters to get a happy ending.
Definitely would recommend this book and this series for a sweet, over the top possessive alpha male type romance, straight to the point fast paced story.
He's big, he's bad, and he's dirty, which is exactly opposite of what wolf shifter Candace Jace wants in a mate. Candace is borderline OCD and the victim of a cheating ex, she now has her life in a some sort of order and everything about bear shifter Trace Dakota off sets her carefully controlled world.
Owner of a bar, Trace had not expected to meet his mate at this point. A bad marriage and left Trace with strict rules when it came to women, one night stands and that is it. He knows his mate is Candace and even though it is difficult for his bear, he is taking his time to woo her as much as a Harley riding bad boy can.
Very fun read, I liked that they are polar opposites and Trace is pure alpha. You can easily understand Candace's reluctance as Trace is very vocal about his wants an needs. Look forward to more in this series.

We were introduced to Candace in the first book of the Wylde Bears trilogy and to say I was happy to read her story would be an understatement.
Candace a wolf shifter is quiet and reserved. She has been hurt and the betrayal ran deep but she has since moved on and likes her life the way it is even if she is lonely. Candace would rather face loneliness than to put her heart on the line just to have it broken again.
Trace Dakota is the polar opposite (no pun intended) of Candace. He is a big, bad, polar bear shifter who owns a bar and grille. He likes his women fast and easy with no strings attached. That is until he meets his mate Candace. Let the games begin.......
Hot smexy lovin, drama, humor, romance and lots of love. Who knew a polar bear shifter like Trace could be so romantic....*sigh* He is a bad ass ladies but with a soft side that comes with a heart of gold. No wonder Candace is hooked.
Loved this story and I would highly recommend this series, this author to any and all who ask. Jenika Snow does NOT disappoint!!!
